James Cameron: Ranking His Films From Worst To Best

1. Aliens

Battle Angel Alita
20th Century Fox

James Cameron has made good movies, he's made great movies. But at the end of the day, there is only one Aliens, one of the greatest science fiction movies ever filmed, and easily his masterstroke.

From the action, to the characters, to the story that encompasses it all, from top to bottom this movie is incredible. Shifting seamlessly from straight horror to sci-fi action with some horror elements, Aliens maintains the terror that the xenomorphs embody, while still giving our characters a solid means of combating them.

Of course, Ripley is the only one who actually knows how to handle the damn things, and all who question her tend not to last long in the story, as evidenced by the legit frightening scene of marines getting slaughtered by the xenomorphs and most of the deaths being their own damn fault.

There are a lot of other small details we could go into, but the bottom line is that you need to see this movie immediately if you haven't already.
