V for Vendetta directs sets up a X-Files-like sci-fi thriller.
James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) has setup a new thriller over at the small Indie company Inferno titled Revelation. It comes from John Salavti, the scribe of the upcoming biopic of Salvador Dali (starring Al Pacino & Cillian Murphy) and it will be shipped around Cannes next week...
Story centers on a female journalist who is assigned to investigate a series of bizarre murders and discovers that the victims were all being treated by the head of an org that researches alien abductions.Sounds all X-Files like. From the one movie we've seen of McTeigue - it's clear his visual effects background will put him in great stead for visually arresting films but he's got an awful long way to go before narrative he is as accomplished as we would like. McTeigue is currently directing the action film Ninja Assassin which is being produced by the Wachowski's. Revelation will be his first project without the safety brakes of the Wachowski's. Let's see if he can attract any big names on his own. source - variety
