I've yet to give the currently filming
Winged Creatures anything other than a
fleeting mention on this site, so I thought it was about time I said something more about it. Recent Oscar winner
Jennifer Hudson is the latest big name to join the cast which now includes
Forest Whitaker,
Kate Beckinsale,
Guy Pearce,
Dakota Fanning and is directed by
Rowan Woods. Hudson will be playing the daughter of Whitaker, which phsycially is easy to imagine... they kinda look a little alike. As is the precedent for "serious" movies these days, the flick has one of those plots with inter-connecting stories about a group of strangers who end up coming together in the final act.

The story follows the witnesses to a brutal murder suicide in a fast food restaurant as they cope with the aftermath of the incident and how they affect the people who help them along the way. I think using that type of structure is fine, when the movie asks for it but when
Crash did it two years ago.... it really annoyed me. I don't think I have ever seen a more contrived film in my life. I know I'm very much in the minority on that one but the awards that movie won made me angry. source -
