Jigsaw: Every Trap Ranked From Worst To Best
It's time to play a game.
The belated eighth entry into the Saw franchise is in cinemas now, and it's fair to say that reviews have been "mixed", to be kind.
One of the more divisive aspects of the new movie has been the quality of the traps, which frankly is all over the place, and if you went into this movie hoping for more of the dementedly creative, darkly satirical traps from previous movies, you might be left pretty underwhelmed.
For the most part the film's traps opt for a "less is more" approach, leaning into their simplicity as opposed to the elaborate sadism of the other seven movies.
While there's not much here in the way of classic traps, they're certainly not all bad, even if you'll no doubt be hoping that the inevitable sequel dials up the devilish ingenuity substantially.
In terms of allowing fans to imagine what they'd do if placed within these traps, though, they just about deliver the basic goods...
