J.J. Abrams monster movie gets writer & director

J.J. Abrams monster movie Cloverfield. It's now come to our attention that Cloverfield is NOT the official title of the film which has either not been chosen yet or is being kept well under-wraps. Also unlike I previously reported, it now turns out that Cloverfield HAS NOT been shot already and the teaser trailer that's attached to Transformers is all that has been filmed so far. Furthermore, the movie is NOT being directed by J.J. Abrams before he works on Star Trek in the fall. Instead the movie about a parasite monster who attacks New York is being directed with handheld P.O.V. camera's by Matt Reeves, who previously worked with Abrams on a number of episodes of Felicity and who shot the 1996 comedy/drama The Pallbearer with David Schwimmer and Gwyneth Paltrow. Lost and Alias writer Drew Godard has penned the screenplay. Hopefully that teaser trailer makes it's way online sometime soon, this project has me really interested. source - slash film, aicn
