Joel Schumacher's Batman: 6 Things He Did Better Than Nolan

4. Holy Rusted Metal Batman!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2qvULu70dE I didn't get the reference when I saw the film back in 95' - I was still a youngster and hadn't been hipped yet to the awesome 1960's Adam West Batman. Once I became privy to that classic bit of camp I went back and re-watched Batman Forever and found myself utterly enchanted by a sly loving shoutout in the film to the 60's series in the form of a homage to Burt Ward's iconic portrayal of the boy wonder. Nolan's Batman trilogy all but blanked the Batman heritage, and missed out on a terrific opportunity for fan service and to pay its dues. That is simple arrogance. I don't care if you're a fan of Nolan's ultra "realistic" take on the Batman franchise or not: if this clip doesn't make you crack a nostalgic smile then you truly have no since of humor. Perhaps a dose of the Joker's laughing gas would help? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nltVuSH-lQM

Raymond Woods is too busy watching movies to give you a decent bio. If he wasn't too busy watching movies and reading books about movies and listening to podcasts about movies, this is what he'd tell you. "I know more about film than you. Accept this as a fact and we might be able to talk."
