John Carpenter returns to L.A... Gothic style!

John Carpenter project to get excited about. I do remember being a little pumped for his last flick Ghosts of Mars during the early production stages of that flick but as it came closer to it's eventual release and the images and trailers began to hit... it became obvious this was just another disappointing Carpenter flick. Despite the six year gap since Ghosts of Mars, I think we all knew this wasn't the end of John Carpenter. He wasn't going to go out like that and it was just a matter of time until he began work on something else. Have AICN today got the scoop on what movie that could be? This from an inside source who spilled the beans to the site...

...it's called LA Gothic and the script has various chapters but they all revolve around a Preist and his Teen-age daughter and that there are a ton of creatures in it. It's supposed to have vampires, zombies and a demon-possesed rock-star. He said it all takes place in LA over a couple of days and that it's vintage Carpenter tons of gore and action.
Man, Kurt Russell just has to be cast in this thing if it ever gets made. Of course we would all love to see Carpenter return to his 70's and 80's craft, confidence and style but tons of crap since then can't help but make you feel skeptical.
