John Singleton gets an EXECUTIVE ORDER

Variety say EXECUTIVE ORDER: SIX will begin production early next year over at Relativity Plan and will begin casting immediately.

Philip Eisner's script, based on a story he wrote with Robbie Consing, follows the residents of a small, snowbound town, who band together to fight a mysterious horror that turns out to be an alien being unleashed by a plane crash.
Eisner is the guy who wrote EVENT HORIZON before taking a break of ten years and deliveiring next year's THE MUTANT CHRONICLES. Could this be the most mainstream film from Singleton thus far in his career? The idea of letting Singleton rip with a sci-fi thriller like this sounds cool to me. We await to see what cast he can put together in this period where much of Hollywood is locked into pre-strike roles.
