Jonah Hill & Emma Stone To Cross The Streams In Ghostbusters 3?

They played unlikely love interests in Superbad six years ago... Tumblr Lngbjsdsyn1qhphz2o1 500 Gif .... and nearly did again in 21 Jump Street before Emma Stone was courted by Peter Parker's web in The Amazing Spider-Man... Emma Stone Birthday November 6 2012 Amazing Spider Man 2 Zachbartowski Gif ... but now Jonah Hill and Emma Stone could finally be re-teaming once again, this time picking up the proton packs for the long-gestating Ghostbusters 3! Gb00 GifSchmoes Knows, the same website that broke info this week on Wonder Woman auditions for Batman vs Superman, claims that the young comedy thesps have been offered parts in Sony's latest attempt to bring those busters back to the big screen. The website reports that they;

"have it on good authority that none other than Jonah Hill and Emma Stone have been offered the parts of Jeremy and Anna respectively."
Who Jeremy or Anna are is anyone's guess but our opinion is they are likely part of the new Ghostbusters team Dan Aykroyd said the long in the making film would mostly involve around;
"It's based on new research that's being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University... Basically, there's research being done that I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the research that's being done. Ghostbusters -- new Ghostbusters -- have to come and solve the problem."
With the first casting seemingly close, NBC Cleveland affiliate WKYC are reporting that the new movie would film in the city in Spring 2014. If that is the case, the timing of Schmoes Knows' story that offers have been sent out to potential leads adds much credibility and would also suggest we can expect much more news to be leaked before the end of the year. As WhatCulture.com have long supported... Jonah Hill and Emma Stone are very much part of the modern era of comedy actors who would be perfect to breathe new life to the Ghostbusters universe. They both have a hip, offbeat and wildly self-deprecating sense of humour that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson brought to the original film all those years ago and have long been suggested as fan favourite castings. Jonah Hill is clearly a big Ghostbusters nerd...
Emma Stone has also had her own run-in with the "busters" in Zombieland... Zombieland Now we just need to hope the likes of Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Aziz Ansari and Craig Robinson are the next actors from the Judd Apatow crew who Sony are gonna call... Written by The Office and Bad Teacher scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky seemingly forever, with later revisions including Tropic Thunder and Men in Black 3's Ethan Cohen (and massive input from original stars/writers Harold Ramis and particularly Dan Aykroyd), Ghostbusters 3 has had the status of "filming next year" for at least the past four years. Original franchise helmer Ivan Reitman is still attached to direct with Ramis, Aykroyd & Hudson (plus probably other familiar faces from the original) likely to return, though Bill Murray seems unlikely at this point... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vU_D96AdK0M The hold-up on the film has always been Murray's indecisiveness and Sony's indecisiveness without Murray, but momentum lately suggest Sony are going to give Aykroyd (the man who has almost single-handedly kept the movie in various state of pre-pre-production for nearly two decades) the chance of finally bringing Ghostbusters back to the screen Murray-less. The saga turns 30 years old next year...
