9. Buffy The Vampire Slayer - "Graduation Day": The Final Battle
The season three finale of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is memorable for a hell of a lot of reasons the epic smackdown between Buffy and Faith, that particular kiss between Cordelia and a certain stuffy English Watcher, but it all pales in comparison to the massive battle between Sunnydale High alumni and the Mayor who undergoes his demonic transformation (or 'Ascension') during his speech to the graduating class. It all looks terrifying. Our heroes, their friends and their classmates are stuck in an insurmountable danger and enemy: and then the class of Sunnydale 1999 remove their robes to reveal weapons, battle gear and a strategy that defeats a vampire horde, kills an invincible, immortal snake demon (the transformed Mayor Wilkins) and blows up the entire school. They even got to see slimy Principal Snyder get his comeuppance, eaten as an aperitif. School really was out for summer.
