Julianne Moore opts for SHELTER

Four times Oscar nominated actress Julianne Moore likes to dabble into the horror genre every now and again. Variety say that actress will lead the supernatural horror-thriller SHELTER for Nala Films, which will be her second led horror movie in the last four years after THE FORGOTTEN.

The movie comes from the writer of the 2003 horror/thriller IDENTITY and is expected to be budgeted at around the $22-$25 million range. Plot details are unknown at this time, with filming to start in Pittsburgh in March. THE FORGOTTEN, a terrible horror flick was the most successful Moore film of recent years with a final domestic taking of $67 million, though it was made for twice the budget of this movie. Prior to that Moore's biggest hit was HANNIBAL in 2001 with $165 million domestic. The numbers would suggest she's a popular actress in this genre, so it's no surprise she keeps coming back to it.
