Julie Delpy And Linda Cardellini Filmed Secret Roles In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Amongst the guests at the world premiere of The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini, a couple of well-known actors who had not, to date, been linked with the movie in any way. Slashfilm seemed to get a tacit confirmation of the pair having roles in the film when Disney gave them a vague acknowledgment of the actresses attending the premiere but no further details. Where I find a flaw in Slashfilm's thinking is the assumption that, "Neither actress has been in a Marvel movie before but both are well-known, which suggests more than just a fleeting cameo." Try telling that to Harry Dean Stanton, who got mere seconds of screentime in the first film. or Wang Xueq who got hardly anything meaningful to do in Iron Man 3. For all we know, Delpy could be playing a taxi driver and Cardellini the Vice President. Really, it's all guess work at this stage. Still, it's nice to know two good, dependable actors have these mystery roles, whatever they and however small.
