Jurassic World Dominion: 22 WTF Moments

15. Dr. Wu's Suddenly A Good Guy

The first two Jurassic World movies basically seemed to position Jurassic Park's chief geneticist Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) as one of the series' major antagonists.

But Dominion undoes this completely by giving Wu an outrageously unearned redemption arc, where he feels remorse for his unchecked genetic experimentation, particularly his role in engineering the locusts wreaking havoc around the globe.

Wu decides he wants to re-sequence the locusts' DNA in order to kill them off in a single generation, as requires him to study Maisie Lockwood's (Isabella Sermon) unique DNA.

Wu's plan is ultimately successful by film's end, in turn stopping the world's food crisis, yet the movie treats him with a weirdly reverent, heroic regard in its closing sequence while seemingly glossing over his highly troubling actions over the course of the last few films.
