Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 20 WTF Moments

4. Maisie Frees The Dinosaurs, Selfishly Dooming Humanity

As asinine as the Maisie twist is, the ending of the movie takes it one step further by having Maisie press the big red button that releases the remaining dinosaurs into the American wilderness.

Try not to cringe as Maisie ham-fistedly remarks that the dinosaurs are "like her" and presses the button, potentially dooming an entire settlement of humans, if not more, to hideously brutal deaths.

Nobody expects a child to understand the intricacies of ecology, but even a nine-year-old should know that letting dinosaurs loose on Earth is a really, really terrible idea.

While in reality humanity could probably wipe out a dozen-or-so dinosaurs in the wild pretty quickly with a few thousand casualties at most, that's clearly not what's going to happen in Jurassic World 3. The implication is that the dinosaurs are going to increase their numbers, somehow - "life, uh, finds a way" - resulting in an all-out-war between humans and dinos.

Though there's a clear appeal in seeing a totally bats*** crazy follow-up to this braindead ending, you probably shouldn't expect anything more than nonsensical trash.
