19. Chris Pratt's Doesn't Appear For 20 Minutes

The movie opens with an entertaining sequence in which a gang of mercenaries secure a DNA sample from the Indominus Rex's skeleton, after which Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) is brought back into the fold.

Several scenes are devoted to establishing her post-Jurassic World career and quickly introducing her to both Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell) and Eli Mills (Rafe Spall), after which she's tasked with tracking down Owen (Chris Pratt) and convincing him to join their rescue mission.

It's just shy of 20 minutes by the time Chris Pratt shows up, and considering the movie clocks in at just north of two hours, that's a pretty significant chunk.

Given that the eruption sequence ends up feeling rushed and convincing Owen to join takes all of a few seconds, it probably would've been tidier to just have Owen working with Claire at her foundation from the beginning (while trimming the romantic estrangement subplot at the same time).
