16. Nobody Hears A Giant T-Rex Coming

Though the volcanic eruption sequence is probably the best part of the whole movie, it's certainly not without its share of eyebrow-raising aspects.

Perhaps the most baffling moment occurs when Claire and Franklin hide inside a Gyrosphere while Owen is stalked by a dino on the outside of the glorified hamster ball.

At that moment, the iconic T-Rex emerges out of nowhere and slaughters the dinosaur, before letting out its customary roar. Except...how the hell didn't anyone hear or see a 10-ton T-Rex coming?

Even in the madness of a volcanic eruption, there's no way a T-Rex could get that close to the trio undetected. Sure, this isn't the first time the series has pulled this trick - it even happens at the end of the first movie - but can we really not do any better these days?
