Jurassic World made it abundantly clear that these new Jurassic Park movies aren't going to stray too far from the iconography, themes, tone and general identity of the prior films, and for the most part that's basically OK.
Whatever your verdict on the fifth entry, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the movie certainly serves up its share of crowd-pleasing nods and references to both its direct predecessor and Steven Spielberg's classic 1993 original.
Though it doesn't lean on nostalgia quite as hard as Jurassic World - mercifully so, some would say - there are still a ton of pointed gags directly recalling the series' best one-liners, characters and set-pieces. Not to mention, an obligatory nod or two at the world around us.
One thing's for sure: fans will need to keep their eyes and ears peeled to catch many of these Easter eggs, and countless more will inevitably reveal themselves when the movie becomes available on home video.
