Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 23 Easter Eggs & References Explained
9. The Dinosaur Stampede
The Gallimimus stampede is one of the original Jurassic Park's many memorable set-pieces, and unsurprisingly, it's given a rather grim homage in Fallen Kingdom.
When Isla Nublar's dormant volcano goes active and starts to destroy the island, the poor dinos start frantically running from the eruption's deadly pyroclastic flow.
The shot selection intentionally mirrors that of the original film, and while the Gallimimus stampede presented a sure mix of fear and majesty, the new take on the stampede sequence is pure, unfiltered terror.
