When we first meet Benjamin Lockwood, there's another cute nod to John Hammond and the process through which Jurassic Park was conceived in the first place.

Much like Hammond, Lockwood has a cane with an amber top, within which a mosquito is contained. This is of course a tribute to the amber-mining process in which the dino DNA was first obtained, as memorably explained in the first Jurassic Park via the iconic Mr. DNA video.
