Jared Leto's take on The Joker in 2016's Suicide Squad wasn't overly popular, but there remains a very real desire among fans to see him cross paths on the big (or small, in this case) screen with Ben Affleck's Batman. It's an undeniably intriguing possibility, and one which is now going to become a reality in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

While a flashback to the night the villain killed Robin seems like a logical use of the Oscar-winner, Snyder has hinted that the Clown Prince of Crime could be used in a very different way.

"I wanted to of course honor what had been created with him because I thought it was really cool," the filmmaker teased. "I'm not going to tell you what happens in the little scene, but some water has gone under the proverbial bridge between when last we saw Joker and this appearance. So he's made some...he's a road-weary Joker, I guess that's a way of saying it."

It sounds a lot like The Joker will be used in any additional Knightmare scenes, possibly teaming up with the Dark Knight to battle Darkseid's Parademons!
