Justice League: 10 Over-Looked Positives

6. The Visual Style

Justice League Wonder Woman
Warner Bros.

Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman were both visually stunning, but they were also washed-out, humorless oceans of darkness, and particularly in the case of Batman vs. Superman, nothing looked real at all. Everything looked like it was made out of CGI. With Justice League, at least the world of the film looks real and thankfully it's not just characters throwing each other through walls this time.

Say what you will about Zack Snyder, but he is undeniably one of modern Hollywood's only auteurs. This really comes through in Justice League, with there being a fantastical sense of visual wonder throughout the film, and thanks to the film being more real-looking and the visual style not being nearly as exhausting as in the previous movies, it's actually great to look at.

And while the action is far from the greatest ever, those scenes are tense and smoothly directed. Plus, for all the franchise's faults, at least the DC movies have a noticeable and interesting visual style.
