9. "No Lanterns..."
When Steppenwolf namedropped the Green Lantern Corps in the Justice League trailer it sparked a wave of fan fever. Although it was only a fleeting mention, this was the first official acknowledgement of the galactic police force's existence in the DCEU.
"No Lanterns... no Kryptonian," says the New God while reeling off the list of reasons why Earth was vulnerable to his invading army, his voiceover beginning while footage of a brooding Cyborg gazing through a broken window plays.
Although this shot of Ray Fisher's Cyborg did make it into the final cut, Steppenwolf's Lantern-citing speech didn't, which seems like a strange decision considering it was such a fan-pleasing reference and subtle foreshadowing.
Perhaps DC and Warner Bros didn't feel the need to namedrop the Lantern Corps since two of their members cameoed in that flashback sequence.
