Justice League: 10 Ways Deathstroke Could Appear In The DCEU
6. An Agent For Lex Luthor
If Deathstroke getting wrapped up in the government doesn't quite fit, there's someone else he could be working for that keeps his villain credentials at 100%; Lex Luthor.
Jesse Eisenberg is on the cast list for Justice League (although he was linked to Suicide Squad at one point, so that may not amount to anything), meaning Lex is likely to play some part. As per the Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition he's in Arkham, so if he's going to influence the plot (and thanks to the Kryptonian ship he does have a vested interest in whatever horrors Steppenwolff is going to unleash), he'll need someone to be his man on the ground.
Although Slade and Lex have a choppy comic book history, Deathstroke's the most suitable candidate who isn't already tied up elsewhere in the DCEU. This would make his part in the story more intense, with likely a more targeted strike on Batman and his new team than the ARGUS link would.
Deathstroke coming in as a hired gun is a distinct possibility, and when breaking down the options, Lex being the source of the money makes the most sense.
