Again, it's important to remember that Joss Whedon is a card-carrying nerd, certainly much more so than Zack Snyder, so while he may not be able to imprint a major creative stamp of his own on the movie, he will surely be hurling in a bunch of additional references and Easter eggs into the mix for the fans.

There's already been some speculation that he may have been given blessing to include an explicit nod to his in-the-works Batgirl movie, especially with Commissioner Gordon set to appear in Justice League. Hell, why not hint towards the planned Nightwing movie, too?

If there's any writer-director with the smarts to slyly advertise coming attractions in this film, it's Whedon. If nothing else, he should ensure there's nothing as laughably, embarrassingly on-the-nose as the glorified PowerPoint presentation of superheroes from Batman v Superman.
