Justice League: 10 Ways Joss Whedon Could Change It
4. An Additional Death
When it comes to killing off beloved characters, Whedon just can't help himself: he loves greasing characters out of nowhere, and so it wouldn't be at all surprising if he suggested to Zack Snyder to kill off a major supporting character.
After all, when Whedon was asked about making a third Avengers film, he originally said "The idea of doing [The Avengers] three times just staggers the imagination...In the third one, I really am going to kill everyone", and as he's now back in that huge ensemble blockbuster arena, he's probably craving a little extra death and destruction.
As for who it could be? J.K. Simmons' Commissioner Gordon is a strong possibility, especially considering that Warner Bros. reportedly toyed with him being dead in Batman v Superman. Though Simmons is also lined up to appear in The Batman in the future, considering that it may very well take place in the past, killing him off in Justice League wouldn't disrupt that.
