Justice League: 11 Final Concerns
6. It Could Feel Too Much Like A Marvel Movie
When it was made abundantly clear that Justice League would be a lighter, more hopeful film, some DC fans called foul that Warner Bros. would essentially just be deferring to the Marvel Cinematic Universe formula which has proven so successful.
Wonder Woman released to huge success and very much felt like a typical Marvel film, with its light tone and personality-driven narrative while touting a fairly simplistic plot and villains, so it's not a huge leap to suggest that Warner Bros. will cling to this formula from now on.
The problem is that this could make Justice League feel like a generic superhero blockbuster, largely devoid of originality. Marvel does their thing exceedingly well, but the prospect of the DCEU just copying their template long-term isn't terribly appealing.
While a fun, generic movie is certainly better than an overly self-serious, jumbled mess, it's still looking like Justice League could end up disappointingly forgettable.
