Justice League: 7 Actors Who Should Play The Flash

5. Matthew Morrison

I understand how this choice could seem fairly left-field, but Morrison is my top choice for the role. I would ask that you would put aside any disdain for Glee that you may have (as I'm no fan, either), and look at the actor in the light of the actual character. I think the Flash is a phenomenal character, but he doesn't brood like Batman, doesn't have Superman's optimistic naivety, isn't fierce like Wonder Woman, or (and this is what fans tend to forget) isn't even the charming sensation that is Hal Jordan's Green Lantern; Barry Allen is the normal, likable human of the bunch. Morrison's got the look and the body for the role, as well as the ability to channel a genuinely good and realistic Barry Allen. Barry Allen shouldn't be comparable with Hal Jordan in personality to the point where they become interchangeable; the two are best friends but approach morality and scenarios differently. I'd like to see Morrison not only have a crack at donning the red suit, but also coming off as a real forensic expert. A Flash franchise could be the best Superman/Batman collaboration we get, combining the mystery-noir elements from the Dark Knight's tales with the fantastical ones of Superman's.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
