Plot Prediction:

As both Batman v Superman and the Justice League trailer confirmed, Dr Silas Stone - father of Victor and the creator of Cyborg - was always going to be in danger thanks to his close knowledge (and possession) of the Mother Boxes.

According to details revealed by the official press set visit, Steppenwolf has kidnapped scientists from across the world (presumably linked to Mother Boxes), and Silas Stone becomes the ninth to be taken by the Parademons. Quite what he wants them to do remains to be seen, but you'd imagine it has something to do with finding and using all of the Mother Boxes.

He and the other scientists are clearly going to be the heart of the narrative as the Justice League unite to save them as well as defeating Steppenwolf.
