7. They Did it Their Way
When The Matrix Sequels came out, so many people immediately hated them; I myself couldnt resist jumping on the bandwagon of disdain after getting involved in the popular exercise of theorising my own version of the Matrix mythologies, and speculating about what might happen next in the franchise. When you watch them back though, in the cold light of day, you cant deny that the Wachowskis had a vision (especially when you consider they drafted the whole thing as a trilogy from the beginning) and they saw that vision through to the death. Its quite clear from watching that they told the story that they set out to tell. And youve sort of got to respect that. Maybe this boldness is exactly what a Justice League movie requires if it wants to do the sort of numbers that The Avengers did.
