3. More Weird Monster Tentacle Stuff!

Batman's target is clearly this building on the Chernobyl site, which seems to be so important that it is sprouting actual purple tentacles as an indication. It's all very confusing.

Is Darkseid's plan to terraform Earth, just as it was Zod's plan? Or is this transformation something to do with the invasion indirectly?

Either way, it doesn't seem to be very good as a defensive augmentation, as Batman simply blows his way in...

Maybe they just had some of this effect left over from Suicide Squad?
