20. Superman Returns

Putting aside the annoyance of the insistent effects of the red sky, the opening sequence of the trailer is actually a really nice reminder that there's lots of room in this world for Man Of Steel 2. From the swelling score to the familiar sight of Clark Kent at home on the farm, there's a delightful nostalgic feel to it.

But the most important thing here is that Superman literally appears. Rather than continuing the charade, Warner Bros' marketing team have gone all in and revealed him straight away.

There's also a nice little call-back in there to the shot at the end of Batman v Superman of Lois sprinkling dirt onto Clark's coffin, with mention of her wearing his engagement ring...
