15. Chernobyl: Ground Zero?

It seems that the theory that Chernobyl plays an important role in the story was spot on. The shot above clearly shows the Parademon horde swarming out of one of the cooling towers at the infamous plant (probably in the modern day), which would explain why the Justice League head there.

The Instagram trailer shows a shot of Batman seemingly grappling inside the cooler tower...

Could it be that there is a boom tube source underground there - stashed by Darkseid to help facilitate a later invasion? Could that have caused the meltdown?

By the look of it, the place is also inhabited by some poor souls.

Having said that, this could be a shot of the actual Chernobyl Disaster itself, as the film explains how Darkseid's forces caused it?
