Justice League Final Trailer Reactions - 6 Ups & 4 Downs

5. The Humour

Bruce Wayne Justice League
Warner Bros.

Or perhaps that would better be referred to as "the sass"?

No doubt there will be "purists" who complain at the DCEU trying to do more humour (mostly because the same folk spent years firing barbs at the MCU for daring to have a sense of humour), but the humorous lilt in the Justice League marketing has been great so far.

There's even a delightful self-awareness to the gags in the idea of Batman as the po-faced veteran, The Flash as the cheeky upstart and Aquaman as this cool, removed surfer bro whose attitude is the exact opposite of everything Bruce stands for. It's that sort of dynamic that has worked in ensembles like Fast & Furious and the MCU, and it's a good thing to aim for.

Let's just hope there aren't any pratfalls or mugging, but it doesn't look like we're going too far that way.
