Justice League Movie: 10 Reasons Nolan & Bale Shouldn't Do It

4. It Will Confuse Audiences

Having Bale play the Caped Crusader in a tonally disparate adaptation of Batman will only serve to confuse audiences, also, especially the casuals who may not even be properly aware of what Nolan is trying to do. It's been said in prior interviews that the Batman we will see in the Justice League movie will be a different Batman, so if Nolan really is going to work on the film, he needs to make sure that's true (though to be honest, I'd rather he stuck to "mentoring" Superman/Snyder and just left Batman as he is). At worst, this maneuvering of the Batman franchise might just turn audiences off, who could end up viewing it as a shoddy type of fan fiction, with the Batman popularly known as a grounded detective now going around fighting aliens. It would take an extraordinarily concerted effort for this not to seem really goofy.
