Cinematographer Fabian Wagner worked with Snyder during Justice League's original shooting period, but he did not return for Joss Whedon's reshoots. As a result, he was behind the camera for every single scene that Snyder shot, giving him an interesting perspective on the Snyder Cut situation.

Speaking of Whedon though, Wagner greatly disapproves of his theatrical version of Justice League. In an interview with ComicBook Debate, he said that he was "crying" while watching it - and they weren't exactly tears of joy.

In that same interview, he was also asked about the length of the Snyder Cut, to which he replied "Zack would make the movie as long as it needs to be." Weirdly though, he didn't sound too sure about the status of the Snyder Cut himself, a possible sign that he doesn't actually know what's going on with it.

Wagner also sounded clueless about the Snyder Cut back when Justice League was in cinemas. Speaking to Collider in December 2017, the cinematographer said that he "never got to see" Snyder's Cut, and furthermore, he didn't even know if one existed:

"It’s hard to say because Zack obviously left so early. I never got to see the final cut that Zack had done, if he ever had done a final cut - I think he might have done, but I’m not sure. So it’s hard for me to say what was actually in his cut."

Because Wagner wasn't involved in Justice League's reshoots, he was cut out of the loop when it came to finishing and releasing the movie. This is probably why he sounds so uncertain about the various edits. At the end of the day, it doesn't sound like he's had much contact with Snyder over the last several years.
