Justice League Trailer: 11 Things You Probably Missed

2. Hinting At Batman's Past

Near the end of the trailer, fans get their first proper look at J.K. Simmons' version of James Gordon, as he tells Batman, "It's good to see you playing well with others again."

While this can be taken on face value, that Gordon's happy to see Batman teaming up with people again after he paired with Superman and Wonder Woman to defeat Doomsday, the clear intended subtext is that Gordon is in fact referring to Batman's more distant past.

This is surely a nod to Robin, who was killed by The Joker and Harley Quinn, and also Nightwing, who has a spin-off movie in the works. Though it seems fairly unlikely the film will actually feature any flashbacks to these characters, some teasing dialogue such as this is still very much welcome.
