25. Aquaman The Bad-Ass

There's very much a Wolverine vibe about Aquaman, which is no bad thing. Imagine a world where the supposedly most goofy character in the Justice League is without a doubt the most anticipated. He's a rock star superhero, announcing his arrival by saving a fisherman stranded on an upturned boat, and moodily starring the storm down...

Presumably, this angry water is why Batman couldn't just come by sea. It's not just that Aquaman patrols these waters, he actually protects the locals from them when they decide to try and fish there (which is very casually at odds with his relationship with the fish in the comics).

Unless he's protecting the fish, and he capsized the boat? Probably in order to claim payment for saving the fisherman - in the shape of half a bottle of whiskey he brazenly steals from a bar patron.

He's clearly got a drink problem, but like anyone is going to tell him...
