2. The War With The Amazons

Even if it only amounts to a flash-back explaining how Wonder Woman is already aware of Darkseid's impending invasion attempt, the battle scene that pits the Parademon army against the Amazonian forces looks like it's going to be epic.

The trailer suggests thousands of characters at all-out war, blending war movie cinematography and sci-fi elements for what could well be the DCEU's biggest, most memorable set-piece so far. Could it be the end of the movie, as Wonder Woman sends in the cavalry for an attack while she and the Justice League take out a more specific target?

Ignoring every criticism of Snyder's aesthetic choices, he knows how to do spectacle and the action sequences in 300 set out a model for grand-scale action that looks to have been adopted for this key sequence too.
