5. Ghost - Pathfinder

The downside of being a genre actor is you’re inevitably going to get offered one of those dreary swords-n-armour action films that attempt to stylise history without a care for accuracy (or entertainment), and for your sins wind up taking it for the money.

Urban’s version of this was Pathfinder, where the chosen culture to desecrate is Vikings. A Norse-born raised by American natives, his arc is exactly what you expect; he’s not accepted by either side, but eventually proves himself with maximum bloodshed. It’s like the anti-Superman and is as unengaging as it sounds.

Urban’s as drab as the film, mopey and bland, and even in action can't follow it through to make a truly badass character. Urgh.
