Keira Knightley & Colin Farrell make residence at LONDON BOULEVARD

Wow, Keira Knightley is actually doing a contemporary film! Shock! They have truly ran out of corsets for the young gal. Though that's not really meant as a digg because I thought her mature performance in THE DUCHESS was one of her strongest so far. Variety say Knightley will team with Colin Farrell for LONDON BOULEVARD, a crime thriller that will mark the directorial debut of THE DEPARTED and BODY OF LIES screenwriter William Monhan. It is based on the Ken Bruen novel which has this truly awful and cheap looking book cover... 43-342e4442

Farrell will play a South London criminal who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life by becoming a handyman for a reclusive young actress.
Though Knightley isn't likely to play the reclusive actress, rather the love interest of the movie named Aisling. The movie will shoot in and around London this Summer, after Knightley has completed LAST NIGHT (the love triangle movie alongside Eva Mendes and Sam Worthington) and THE BEAUTIFUL AND THE DAMNED, based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. Love Knightley and Farrell has been less annoying as of late. Though they are an odd combination to star in a movie together, at least in my head anyway.
