Kevin Spacey: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

3. Frank Underwood - House Of Cards

Speaking of! The strange and perverse combination of hero and villain, not quite an anti-hero, not quite a heroic-villain, Frank Underwood. Here, we get the best of both worlds with a view towards Spacey's talents in front of the camera. His ambition knows no bounds, and he's quite willing to do anything to get to where he wants to be. Think Breaking Bad in The White House. Frank Underwood is an extremely complex character, with motives and actions that defy simply explanation. His offhand comments direct to the audience make the breaking of the fourth wall sublime, and give him an air of knowledge, understanding and calm psychopathy that elevates him above every other character on screen. Pure Netflix gold.
