King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

3. The Excellent Supporting Cast

King Arthur Legend Of The Sword Strid Berg S Frisbey
Warner Bros.

Ritchie has assembled an absolutely stacked supporting cast, with the likes of Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen and Neil Maskell serving as Arthur's trusty comrades, resulting in some excellent banter to cool audiences down between the action sequences.

It's also worth singling out Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as the mage who helps Arthur on his quest. She's totally bada** and brings some much-needed distaff energy to this world populated with burly men.

Hounsou and Gillen are clearly having the most fun, though, and get plenty of opportunities to bounce wry, sarcastic dialogue off Hunnam, and vice versa.
