21. Eggsy In Mourning

Eggsy is then shown standing amid the charred remains of the Kingsman HQ, where he seems to be met by his tech support Merlin (Mark Strong), who may well have been feared dead in the HQ attack.

Presumably Merlin then grabs Eggsy and begins to enact the aforementioned contingency plan, to head to the U.S. and recruit their American counterparts to take on the new threat.

Strong was one of the first film's highlights, so it's great to see him back and quite clearly having made his way out of the first act alive.
