If the casting of actors like Tom Hardy and Jared Leto as "villains" like Venom and Morbius proves anything, it's that Sony wants to make these characters as charismatic and, well, likeable as possible. After all, it's not easy to get moviegoers to root for someone who is truly despicable, so these spectacular foes of Spider-Man becoming anti-heroes appears to be inevitable.
With that in mind, who better than Jason Momoa to play Kraven the Hunter? Sure, he's also the DC Extended Universe's Aquaman, but we've seen plenty of actors pull double duty, so there's no reason to suspect the same can't happen here.
Momoa also happens to be a fan-favourite choice for the role, and there's no denying he looks the part. A combination of Aquaman's Arthur Curry and Frontier's Declan Harp may very well give us the best possible version of this Spider-Man villain on screen, and it's not remotely difficult to picture him taking on the worst nature has to offer or Tom Holland's webbed warrior.
