LARRY CROWNE Trailer: Tom Hanks & Julia Roberts' 1990's Style Rom-Com

Universal have released the first trailer for Larry Crowne, star Tom Hanks' first directorial effort since That Thing You Do in 1996 and his first overtly broad comedy in I don't know how long. And I know - I agree with you - the movie looks to hit the over 30's female demographic 'must-have's' checklist - and it's going for the big laughs over the sentimental and somewhat profound emotionality of the best of Hanks & co-star Julia Roberts' 90's work in the genre.... but still... it's Hanks playing loveable/goofy. What's not to love? And I will take that over his Robert Langdon portrayals which come off as goofy all for the wrong reasons. This might be fun and I'll be there July 1st.... (don't worry, Hanks is to start making real movies again in the coming years, so give him a pass on this one).
