Leonardo DiCaprio: Ranking Every Performance From Worst To Best

3. Frank Wheeler - Revolutionary Road

Revolutionary Road made everyone super excited when they realised that it would re-team super awesome lovebirds forever Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet (FROM TITANTIC!), and hey, maybe this'll be a nice, lovely romantic comedy set in the 1950s or something? Oh, it's not? You don't hear anyone really talking about Revolutionary Road anymore, which is a damn shame, give that Leonardo DiCaprio is absolutely sensational as Frank Wheeler in it. If there was, like, a list of underappreciated Leo roles, this would certainly find its way to the very top. Both Kate and Leo are so good here, in fact, that you don't - even for a second - think about the fact that they were in another incredibly famous movie together once upon a time. The urge to shout "I'm King of the World!" is pretty much silenced the moment the picture begins, and it's mostly thanks to Leo's tired, broken performance of a man dealing with the pitfalls of marriage and suburban repression. Problem is that DiCaprio is better than the movie itself, which is presumably why it's drifted from people's memories. Golden Globe nomination; no win. Pfft.
