Liam Neeson: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
1. Admiral Shane - Battleship (2012)
Why Liam? Why? Of all the films to say yes to, even if you're still trying to keep busy, you said yes to Battleship. No words can describe the abysmal failure that is this movie, in fact few words are needed to sum up Neeson's performance in it. Miserable comes close. Battleship makes number one because not only is Neeson bad in it, the film is utter dross. No amount of Transformers-esque effects can make it cool. And Battleship isn't about Aliens, even though Hasbro forgot the premise of their own game. The fact that Neeson is in the film is infuriating. It's like he wants everyone to be angry with him. It feels like he just wandered onto the set and snuck into the film and everyone went, "Is that Liam Neeson?" and he just sort of put himself in the movie because he was coincidentally staying at a hotel across the street from the set and thought it'd be a funny prank. If all of those hypotheticals were true, it'd be the greatest thing of all time. But contracts were signed. This happened for real. Neeson said yes. That is almost unforgivable. Agree? Disagree?
