Liam Neeson thriller Taken gets featurette

Steven Spielberg dropped the Lincoln biopic off his 2007 schedule so he could shoot another Indiana Jones movie, Liam Neeson was left in the lurch and had to find another project to film this summer. That project ended up being the thriller Taken from director Pierre Morel who brought us District 13 as his feature debut in 2004.

In Taken, Nesson is an ex-soldier out to rescue a daughter kidnapped by slavers while traveling in Europe. With the clock ticking, he has to track her down before she€™s lost forever.
His daughter in the movie is played by former Lost actress Maggie Grace. Yes it's that type of "kidnapped daughter thriller" which writers use as their plot time and time again. A featurette on the movie has turned up at Worst Previews which you can see by clicking here. Looks like an extended episode of 24, which may not be a bad thing. The movie should hit cinema's sometime next year, with a French release date announced as February 27th.
