1. No, It's Not A Venom Prequel (But It Should Be)

There was much chatter pre-release about the prospect of Life being a secret Venom prequel, exacerbated by the fact that the movie's writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, previously wrote a Venom script that never went into production...or did it?

No, Life is not a Venom prequel in any official capacity, though it's easy to watch large chunks of the movie and simply believe that it is, and honestly, it's actually a pretty nifty idea.

Considering how neatly a Venom movie would tie into much of what takes place here, it's actually kind of a shame it didn't happen. Columbia surely missed a trick here.
