16. Reavers Are The Worst Mercenaries Ever

From their first appearance, the Reavers are billed as a fearsome force who were at least partly responsible for taking down the mutants who survived the Westchester Incident. They've all but eradicated them (including other mutant supervillains, presumably), and yet when it comes to firing in a straight line at either Logan or Laura, they're absolutely hopeless.

There's no way these bungling, stumbling idiots would have been able to kill off any mutants, particularly as their biggest weakness seems to be holding on to their limbs. Seriously, how many arms get cut off?

And why, in the final climax, do they fail so hard to deal with the mutant kids? They don't have healing factors, and yet the heavily armed, muscle-bound mercs never consider shooting them to take them down. Why would anyone trust them with high-profile targets?
